策展理念
“What hurts you, blesses you. Darkness is your candle.”

《未曾擁抱，那黑》試圖以一種更直覺敞開的視角去感受黑與光的各種樣貌。
光映照了黑，黑體現了光，而成為光，成為黑，兩者並存，互相覺察，超越二元對立的限制，才能有空間長出新的力量，而這是值得探索追尋的路。
再從中，窺見宇宙靜謐無止境的黑。
林秀蘋〈穿越黑〉木製金工系列，透過黑檀木的肌理與色澤將過去對於黑的恐懼轉化成光，敘述著從黒穿越黑的過程，如漫漫長夜般的旅途。不斷漂泊，直到找到寂靜的根；趙雨化〈我是光〉油畫系列，透過筆觸將自己成為光的旅者，行走於星星，太陽，月亮之中，同時成為星星，月亮，太陽；魏少君〈光影，合一〉剪紙系列，將黑暗與光明同時體現在作品之中，陰與陽，擁有各自形態，卻合而為一；陳有德以體驗黑暗的概念，透過〈黑色手冊〉將黑以一種操作指令的方式與觀者互動，藉由文字與哲學思辨的過程，讓觀者潛入他未知的探索。
Curator’s Statement
“What hurts you, blesses you. Darkness is your candle.” – Rumi
“Darkness, Un-embraced” is a collective artistic attempt to get in touch with the multiple facets of light and darkness, with a broader perspective and an open mind. The light shines on the black surface, the black objects reflect the light , the artwork contains both light and darkness, co-existing, conscious of each other’s presence. By going beyond the bounds of duality, a space for new strength was born. This has been a worthwhile journey of exploration, during which the universe silent and boundless blackness shined through.
Lin Hsiu-Ping, “Through Black”, Fine Wood and Metal Work. Through black ebony’s natural grain, color and luster, beginning with the black, through the black, a story was told about transforming past fear of the dark into the light, a journey through a long dark night, wandering to find the root of silence.
Chao Yu-hua, “I am light”, Oil Painting Paint strokes became the vehicle of the light traveler, meandering between the sun, the moon and stars, the sun, the moon and stars were herself.
Wei Shao-chun, “Light and Shadow, As One”, Paper-cutting Exhibiting light and darkness simultaneously; like ying and yang, independent yet inseparable.
Chen Yu-te, “The Black Manual”, Conceptual Art Adopting the form of a manual , using a series of commands to interact with the audience, to help understand the concept of blackness; through words and philosophical thinking process, to invite the audience to immerse in the exploration of the unknown self.
